Unlike some of you, who know about the project, may think... Nope, I'm not talking about it in this post. I'm NOT talking about the movie / project "The Amnesia Experience". (Though if I were early enough to post my video response, I might have!)
I'm actually talking about something else...
I just had a real life "Amnesia The Dark Descent" experience; though instead of finding four chemicals that'll melt an unknown-to-mankind-super-strong substance I had to find four batteries to activate an awesome feature in one of my shirts (it lights up whenever there's noise around. I love it.), my iPod Touch has been used as a lantern and my Stephano is a blue-eyed, golden unicorn statue called Mooney. (Also... No mobs!
)
I was strolling around my house with the iPod and Mooney in complete darkness (minus the light from my iPod), trying to find the batteries: at first, in the kitchen, and then in the basement.
I heard a lot of weird noises around, and the blue light in my living room that shone from my DVD only added more spookiness to the aura.
I already am not a big fond of my basement (phobias from the 3rd grade), but I overcame my fears a few times for several tasks around it. This, however, was the first time I had to fetch something from it in utter darkness. I'm glad I managed to succeed.
As I finished, I also turned my blue shower spotlight on, and showered in its light. It was kind of awesome and scary at the same time. (especially considering the light from outside my shower's rectangular window [yes, that's important] is either orange or red, what makes me feel like I'm in the middle of a particular maze I'm not very fond of, if you know what I mean.)
Later, I had to get something from my parents' room. They were already asleep, so I tried to not make a noise, so I won't wake them up. I decided to imagine that if they wake up, that'd be as if a bro (/ Grunt) is chasing me. Makes it way more interesting.
Also, going to camp tomorrow!
And so, that concludes my real life Amnesia The Dark Descent experience for this evening.
Personally, for the people who like the game and want to experience it in real life without the chance of being murdered mid-quest, I'd definitely recommend about this experience. It's really fun and thrilling.
Thanks for reading, and....stay awesome!
